The Communications Department assists the Johnson City Public Schools Foundation which helps finance innovative and traditional classroom learning tools through donations and fundraisers.  Additionally, the Foundation administers staff development awards and student scholarships.

The Foundation conducts one fundraiser each year.  BEST! Cards contain discounts and incentives offered by area businesses, and are sold by students during the fall of the year.  They are also available throughout the school year at Central Office.  Selling for only $5.00, they provide funds for school programs and grants while offering substantial savings to card holders.

Donations from corporations and individuals are the Foundation's other source of revenue.  Donations can be used to fund programs and activities within the schools or can be designated for a particular scholarship or grant.
