Literature Discussion Roles – These are roles that students take on while discussing reading. Teachers should teach each role explicitly to the whole group, making sure all students understand the job of each of the roles. Once students have an understanding of each of the roles, the class can be divided in such a way that each group has one of each of the roles.
Literacy Discussion Groups Form – These forms are used by students as they take on one of the roles during literature discussion group. The goal is for students to independently and explicitly perform the tasks of all roles simultaneously.
Characteristics of Leveled Texts - These are the characteristics of texts at each of the Fountas and Pinnell levels, A – Z.
Biography Questions - These are comprehension questions to use with biographical texts.
Fiction Comprehension Questions - Questions that support the comprehension of fiction.
