Vision:

Woodland envisions producing students who are educated, cultured, and experienced in reasoning critically, while contributing as a productive member of our school and community.  This will be accomplished by providing cooperative and meaningful learning opportunities, among a diverse community, where each child is challenged to reach their maximum competency as a lifelong learner.

We Believe...

A:  The educational process is a collaborative responsibility of the student, family, community, and educator.

B:  The school environment should promote respect and personal responsibility for all members.

C:  That an alternative calendar positively impacts student learning by increasing retention of knowledge, improving attendance, providing remedial and enrichment opportunities, and maintaining staff/student motivation.

D: Woodland utilizes a decision-making process which promotes opportunities for teachers, administrators, parents, and community to work together to advance the school's mission.

E: Policies should shape a school environment which promotes respect and personal responsibility for all members.

F: To further increase student achievement, educators should maintain high standards for professional development and growth reliant upon research based practices.

G: The students learn in different ways and should be provided with a variety of instructional approaches to support their learning.
