Re:     Application Process

 

▪      We have a new process which allows you to apply for posted jobs by submitting an online application.  Paper applications are no longer accepted.

▪      You must complete your entire application and submit all the required documents.  You will not be considered for any position until we have received your complete application.  Documents that are required in order for your application to be considered complete are:

 

For Teacher Applicants:                                                                 

§  College/ University Transcripts                                     

§  Teaching License(s)

§  Praxis Scores

§  3 Sealed Reference Forms ***

 

For All Other Applicants (i.e. subs, classified):

▪ Proof of Education (transcripts/diploma)

                       

When submitting your application online, upload the required documents to the online application (under document section). For your convenience, a scanner is available at Central Office.

           

***  Sealed References may not be uploaded.  They can be mailed, hand delivered or faxed to 423-434-5213.  If mailed or hand delivered, they must be sealed in an envelope and must have the signature of the referring individual across the sealed flap.  If faxed they must be sent  from the referring individual’s fax number. 

 

▪      All applicants should be prepared to submit fingerprints for a criminal background check.

 

▪      Current vacancies are listed on our web site www.jcschools.org and can be viewed by clicking on the "Employment" tab.  You can apply for posted positions as part of the application process. To do so click on “Apply Now” beside the job in which you are interested. Applying for a position does not guarantee an interview.  To apply for positions that are posted in the future, do not complete a new application, just log back on to the system and follow the process just described.
