Even Start is staffed by Kathy Osborn (director), Laura Talbert (early childhood teacher), Ashleigh Cox (early childhood paraprofessional), and Patricia Wilson (home visitor). Entering our fifth year of operation, we are delighted to welcome three new staff members to our roster. Karen Hatfield (early childhood teacher), Amy Agnew (early childhood paraprofessional) and Rebeca Chocron (E.S.O.L. interpreter and liaison) have joined us as part of the newly acquired 21st Century Community Learning Center grant. The 21st C.C.L.C. grant has enabled our center to join in a collaborative effort with Terry Jones , director of the Keystone Family Resource Center and Jeff Keeling , director of Resident Services for Johnson City Housing Authority . The combined services of our programs have allowed us to implement several new services for families in the Mountain View, Woodland, and North Side elementary school districts. The Keystone Family Resource Center and the Carver and Dunbar resident centers now have staffed and fully-equipped technology labs to help children and parents meet their educational and parenting needs. Our Even Start center has been able to extend our early childhood education program from 8:15 a.m. until 2:15 p.m. from Monday through Thursday. |
