End of the Year Student Belongings Pick-Up
Parents, as we prepare to disseminate items left at school and end of the year materials, we want to thank you for your efforts throughout this entire year. We will begin handing out belongings the week of May 18th, beginning with 4th grade on Monday, May 18th. All other student belongings will be available at the front entrance Tues.-Fri. by last name. If you have students with different last names, please contact your oldest child’s teacher to arrange pick-up all on the same day. Please refer to the following schedule to collect your child’s belongings from the school:
Tuesday, May 19th A-E
Wednesday, May 20th F-L
Thursday, May 21st M-R
Friday, May 22nd S-Z
Report Cards will be mailed on Friday, May 22nd. If you come to the school between 10:45-11:30 we will be able to hand your child’s bag to you in your car. Pick-up will be available at the front door at all other times between 8:00-4:00.
Cherokee Elementary School is a Pre-K through 4th grade School located at the base of Buffalo Mountain within the Cherokee National Forest. We are part of the Johnson City Schools District. School starts at 8:15 AM and we dismiss at 3:15 PM.
Tardies, Early Dismissal
Parents must sign students in when tardy and out when leaving school early. After three unexcused tardies, students will serve time missed at his/her teacher's discretion.
Parents should call the office when students are absent. Work may be picked up in the office. Please call by 9:00 am to give the teacher plenty of time to get the work together.
