Credits

A class equals a credit. Every time a student passes a class, they earn a credit. Most classes are worth 1 credit, but some classes are 1/2 credit. Students must earn 28 credits to be awarded a Science Hill Diploma. The state of Tennessee designates 22 of those credits and 6 are electives. Students have the opportunity to earn 32 credits in four years.

Registration

All rising ninth graders must attend a 4-year plan meeting. During this meeting, you, your child, and an advisor will discuss requirements for the next 4 years of high school and register for 9th grade classes.  Please review the Program of Studies prior to your meeting located under Course Study above.
