Johnson City Schools set to honor inaugural Hall of Fame class


A ceremony to celebrate the inaugural class of the Johnson City Schools Hall of Fame will be held at Science Hill High School on Saturday, August 24 at 2 p.m. The group of 20 individuals will also be honored during halftime of the Science Hill home football game on Friday, August 23.

“We are excited to welcome this inaugural class of the Johnson City Schools Hall of Fame,” Johnson City Schools Superintendent Dr. Steve Barnett said. “This event will celebrate some of the best Johnson City Schools has to offer and provide us an opportunity to share and celebrate their stories with our students and community.”

The ceremony is open to the public and the community is invited to come and help celebrate our inductees. The ceremony will begin at 2 p.m. inside the Science Hill auditorium with a small reception to follow afterward in Grand Topper Hall.
