Mission Statement
The mission of Indian Trail Middle School is to insure that all students
become proficient in core curriculum areas by school year 2012.
Students will demonstrate grade level mastery in the following areas:
- Literacy skills (reading and writing)
- Math processes and applications
- Scientific content knowledge
- Social science concepts
Vision Statement
The vision for Indian Trail Middle School is to provide an environment where all students will develop academic, social, emotional, and physical growth in preparation for becoming successful citizens and lifelong learners.
Belief Statement
We believe:
- That learning is the responsibility of the students, their families, the community, and the educators.
- That instruction should be focused to activate students' prior knowledge and utilize strategies that engage in learning.
- That student assessment information is a crucial component in making decisions about facets of the school's curriculum and policies.
- That federal, state, and local laws and regulations provide guiding principles for our students' education.
- That families, the community, and the school are partners with the students in all aspects of development and learning.
