"Put a little drama in your life!"
SHHS 8/9 Drama Department
Community Service Possibilities

Considering the fact that Science Hill High School requires 40 hours of volunteer service in the local communities, drama students can accumulate some of that time through our club activities. Community involvement is important, and even theatre students can contribute to others in need. Please contact Mr. Hoilman if you are interested in participating in any of these activities.
Currently, we have the following offerings for 9th graders:
Community Service Project 1:
Ushering at Freedom Hall
Times: According to the schedule of Broadway touring shows. Check the FHCC website.
Must be at FHCC, one hour and 45 minutes prior to starting of the performance, and one hour fifteen minutes for the Broadway shows;
These events will not only provide drama 101 members with community involvement hours, they will also give you an excellent opportunity to see some wonderfully entertaining professional performances.
You must wear black pants, a white shirt, and bring a flashlight!
Contact Joyce Hale, usher supervisor at Freedom Hall, for more info:

All volunteer service forms should be returned to Mrs. Miles, 9th grade counselor, as soon as the time has been completed and the forms are documented by the proper individuals. Make a copy of the forms for your own records before submitting them to Mrs. Miles. File these where you can get to them during your senior year.
