2023 Senior Signs

Attention Seniors and Parents of Seniors: Graduation is coming up on us fast! Show your class of 2023 pride by pre-ordering at the link here or the PTA will have some for sale on pick-up days while supplies last so don't wait! 

Lindsey Vonn Foundation 

The Lindsey Vonn Foundation provides underserved girls the tools they need to pursue their passion, overcome obstacles, and reach their goals through scholarships, programs, and mentorship. A scholarship from the Foundation is a financial aid option for academics, athletic, and enrichment activities. Scholarship limit amount is $5,000.

NOTE: This scholarship is NOT for college tuition or any associated fees for college.  

Scholarships will be awarded twice each year in the Spring and Fall for both the Lindsey Vonn Foundation Enrichment and Sport Scholarships. In order to apply for a scholarship applicants must follow the applications eligibility and guideline which are as follows: 

Eligibility Requirements:

  • As of January 1, 2023 the scholarships are for girls only

  • Age: 10 to 18 years of age at the time of application

  • U.S. Citizen

  • Financial need based on household income, number of dependents, and location/cost of living

  • Students can only receive ONE scholarship per year, but can receive THREE scholarships in total during their period of eligibility. 

The application requires one letter of recommendation and a written or video essay with extra requirements for LVF scholar winners who reapply. After initial application review, the Scholarship Selection Committee may contact you for a phone or video chat panel interview.

West Point Summer Leaders Experience 

HIGH SCHOOL JUNIORS - APPLICATION PORTAL OPENS FEBUARY 1st - The West Point Summer Leader Experience (SLE) provides rising high school seniors with a week long immersion into the academic, military, and social life of a West Point Cadet. At SLE, students will explore West Point from all angles, including out high-tech educational facilities, team building athletic activities, and realistic military training. You will get a taste of Cadet Life through the entire program, which is led by current West Point cadets. Internship Opportunities

Science Hill High School – 2nd or 4th block interns needed – Students needed for setting up/cleaning up the coffee shop – ordering supplies, inventory, etc – see your counselor to apply – student attendance and grades will be factored in the application process

JC Convention and Visitors Bureau - (CVB) - This position will provide support to the Visitor Services Specialist at the JC CVB on Buffalo St. The primary responsibilities are: to welcome visitors and provide the information and recommendations necessary to create a memorable visitor experience, maintain the visitor center and support the efforts of the Johnson City Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) as they plan various events in the region.  See your counselor to apply.

Mattern and Craig Engineering and Surveyors - JC branch - 5-6 hours a week that may transition in to an apprenticeship opportunity in the future - more info coming soon.
