Summer School Information

Hello LBMS Families,

If you returned a summer school form to LBMS for your child, your child is on our list! If for some reason, your child is not planning on coming to summer school, please call the office (423-232-2192) and let us know ASAP.

Dates: June 1 - 22

Time: 7:30 - 1:30

CAR Drop Off: BEHIND the gym/cafeteria (steps going up towards patio)

BUS Drop Off: at FRONT of LBMS office - NO CARS ALLOWED IN THIS AREA

Bus pick up / drop off time info is coming soon!

Everyone gets free breakfast AND lunch!

Attendance is VERY IMPORTANT! Please make every effort to have your child here each day for the whole time.  Please email Megan Harmon if you have any questions (harmonm1@jcschools.org).

Robotics Team 2023-2024

Interested in being on the Robotics Team next year here at Liberty Bell? The 23-24 team is now open for next year's 7th & 8th graders. Please fill out the form linked here using your school account, and someone will be in touch with you over the summer to let you know if you made the team. Students on the team agree to be in STEM class for Quarter 1 and 2 as one of their related arts to meet with their teammates daily to work on their robot. Some after-school practices will be required as well as we get closer to competitions. If any rising 6th grade students are interested, there will be a robotics club that starts in the fall semester - listen for an announcement about that when the school year starts back! If you have any questions or technical difficulties please email April Mullikin at mullikina@jcschools.org

Boys Basketball Tryouts for summer team: May 25th and 26th from 5-7 at Liberty Bell Gym

Girls Basketball Tryouts for summer team:  May 25th and 26th from 8:30-11 at Liberty Bell Gym

Girls Soccer Tryouts: May 25th and 26th from 5-7 at Kermit Tipton Stadium

Volleyball Tryouts:  May 24th 11:30-1:45 and May 25th 1-3 at Liberty Bell Gym

Student athletes must have a physical on file with Liberty Bell dated after April 15th, 2023.  All Current athletes are covered through June.

Please bring a copy of the form with you to tryouts. Players will not be able to participate without a physical!! Current Liberty Bell students who participated in a sport will be covered through the month of June and will not have to bring a copy of their physical form to tryouts. Please drop your player off at the main entrance of the gym on both days. The players can be picked up at the same location at the end of the tryout period.

7th Grade Immunizations

The Tennessee Department of Health (TDOH) has issued the following immunization requirements for students entering 7th grade. Students must show proof of Tdap booster (Tetanus-diphtheria-pertussis). Please provide documentation of this immunization on an official Tennessee Certificate of Immunization to the school. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the Office of School Nurses at 232-5380.
