Substitute Teacher Hiring Guidelines

Substitute candidates must complete an online application and attend a substitute training class. Substitutes must hold, as a minimum, a valid high school diploma or GED.

Substitute training classes are generally held once per month on an as-needed basis. When a training class is scheduled it will be posted in FastTrack found under the employment tab at the top of this page. After the training class is posted, you must go into your application and click on the box by the “Substitute Training Class.” If you are selected to attend the training class, you will receive an email with information on what to bring to the class. Due to space limitations, not everyone who applies to attend the substitute training class will be allowed to attend. Attendees will be selected on a first-come/ first-serve basis.
