Whitney Pearson named assistant principal at Indian Trail Middle School

Johnson City Schools has hired Whitney Pearson to join the administrative team at Indian Trail Middle School. Pearson joins after spending over a decade as a teacher at Mountain View Elementary.

“I am incredibly humbled and honored to be given the opportunity to join Dr. James Jacobs and the administrative team at Indian Trail Middle School,” Pearson said. “I have greatly enjoyed the past 11 years serving the Mountain View community alongside the amazing staff. Throughout many leadership experiences in Johnson City Schools, I have gained valuable skills that will assist me in this new chapter of my career. I am eager and excited to collaborate with the outstanding Indian Trail staff, teachers, students, and community.”

Pearson earned a Master of Science, Educational Leadership K-12 from East Tennessee State University in 2019. She also holds a Bachelor of Science, Early Childhood Education PreK-3 from East Tennessee State University in 2011.
